In My Element: Passport General Is On A First Class Flight To The Top
You may know him from the scandal with Lil Bow Wow and his girlfriend Kiyo, after he posted a video of her twerking to his song “Everyday”. The video also made it to World Star’s Instagram then blew up to The Breakfast Club and began trending due to the words exchanged between the jealous Shad Moss “Bow Wow” and rapper Passport General. But his buzz as an artist most definitely did not begin there, Passport has been at the game for a minute!
Born and raised in Long Island, NY, Passport General got his start at music in the fourth grade when he was invited by his friend, Polo Hayes (Grim), to join his music group. A lot of the heavy hitters in the industry got their start in New York like Jay Z, Cardi B, FoxY Brown, Biggie, etc. When it actually comes to Long Island there aren't as many to name. Of course you have the infamous Lil Mo, Rakim, and Biz Markie but no one that has really blown up the game. This has made the journey a little harder for him as he breaks new barriers daily and remains humble enough to learn and appreciate the work of thOsE who have come before him. In recent years, Passport has kept his foot on necks as he rapidly gains traction in the industry. Becoming a very popular artist in his city and around the world, Passport has been featured on radio stations, blogs, and many other music platforms and has had the opportunity to work with some of the hottest talent in the music industry. Hate it or love it this artist has big plans.
Passport General is anticipating his 00Porty 2 release which is expected to release later this year. It will be a continuation to his original project 00Porty. Taking this time during quarantine to truly focus on his music. With little distractions during this time it has given him time to grow as an artist and truly lock in on whats he needs to do to progresS. As any player in the game must, he has remained on his toes and used his time wisely to make sure that when this is all oveR he can look back on this time and feel it was used properly to advance his future career in the the rap game. We are living in unprecedented times. Nothing is the same and you can be sure that they are not going back. Passport is far ahead of the curve and isn’t planning to slow down any time soon!
