From The Field To The Trenches: We Talk Converting Over To Music With MDN Zane

Sports and music often have a way of crossing paths. Some of the industry’s top artist were on a direct path to a career in athletics before discovering their true passion in music. There are also top athletes that enjoy dropping a couple bars the studio when they're not dropping buckets.

Since high school football was always a true passion of now music artist MDN Zane, but from a child he always felt that music also had a place in his life. As a star athlete Zane was given the opportunity to travel, meet new people, and gain many life changing experiences that ultimately shaped the man he has become today.Little did he know these opportunities became the foundation to his rap career.

Coming from Southside, Atlanta, Zane lived seemingly two different lives. Football was used as an escape from the challenges he faced back home in his neighborhood. Though he was surrounded by many top athletes who were on their way to the big leagues he was also around men headed for self-destruction and jail looking for way out.

Football gave Zane a leadership role and a voice in his community as many admired him and looked to him for guidance. When he converted over to music it was important to use his power wisely. He wanted to make his listeners feel comfortable being who they are and accepting where they come from not as a negative but as a challenge to make something out of themselves and become successful in whatever it is they choose to do.

MDN Zane is currently working hard to become a successful writer and CEO of his own record label. He is also the owner of a nonprofit organization built to create impact and change within the community called Million Dollar Network LLC. Hosting back to school drives, homeless community outreach programs, etc. He is also devoting his time to work on his latest project called “11/11”. Named after his birthday, the eleventh of November the two numbers “11/11” when put together stand for being protected by your guardian Angels.
