Music Therapy: Shantel Sole’s Music For The Soul

As an artist you are the head architect of your creative expression. It is important to design and build your brand in a way that properly exposes who you are and what message you would like to give the world. Artist Shantel Solè aims to provide a musical therapy with her music. Creating a place for her to escape from whatever it is they may be going through. With her beautiful melodies she provides comfort, peace, and an ultimate release.

It is no surprise that some of her biggest musical influence comes from her childhood memories with gospel music and the way it allowed the listener to just release and escape into another realm of life free from judgment, pain, or sorrow. Solè grew up watching her late Godmother Shelia Artist’s gospel group perform at concerts. Seeing how they controlled the crowd made her want to do the same thing one day. She taught her how to hold a mic and how to be fearless on the stage. Shantel started recording on her cell phone as personal therapy and diary for herself. She never intended to be an artist but as she begin to share with others their instant gravitation to her sound let her knew that she had a gift.

Early in her music career,  Solè was signed to an independent label where she gained a lot of insight into the business of music, producing, and engineering. She gained the an upper hand when she left the label to know how to move on as an independent artist going forward. Since then she has performed all over Japan as an international artist. While there she allowed herself to breathe out and take in the inspiration. Creating her most recent album “Love Diary”. She is very transparent and very relatable throughout the album definitely a no skip album and well worth the listen.
